Basic purpose of Job: The Laminator Lead reports directly to the Director of Operations. This position is responsible for the performance of the Lamination Department. This position will flex to the Press Department during times of low lamination activity. Duties and
Responsibilities: Promote a safe working environment Develop / maintain work instructions and procedures that are applicable to the department Read job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine parameters and material requirements Set-up and operating the laminating machine and slitter Meets or exceeds prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set-up times Loads and unloads roll stock Mixes applicable adhesives, catalysts and solvents as designed Responsible for ordering and maintaining department inventory and supplies Tests and records bond strengths Performs minor machine maintenance; reports any necessary maintenance to the Maintenance Department using a written work order Works cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure products meet specifications Accountable for the quality of material produced and all related documentation Ensures required documentation / data is completed accurately and timely Participates in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment Inspect, set up, operate, and/or operate slitter equipment and associated components for production Verify material conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as micrometers tape measures and/or calipers. Direct the activities of the Laminator Assistant Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment Basic Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Read and understand precision measuring equipment; such as tape measures, calipers & micrometers Reason through problems involving set-up and operation Able to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality; including being available for overtime whether on a voluntary or mandatory basis. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
